Q: WHAT IS THE RAMS FOR LIFE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION?
A: The Rams for Life Alumni Association is a collective body of past and present students who have one goal in mind and that is to help young Rams succeed - To help Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School maintain a high standard of academic, art achievement and athletic excellence through gifts and advice, and to provide a formal structure for the ongoing development of relationships between all those who have been a part of Laurier throughout its history.

 

Q: WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE INCLUDED?
A: The Rams for Life Alumni Association hosts various activities, such as membership drives, special fundraising campaigns, social events, newsletter publications, and the Facebook group.

 

Q: HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE WITH THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION?
A: First and foremost you can become a member of the association. You can also sign up for our newsletter, volunteer at events, come out to say hi at social alumni gatherings, and join our Facebook Rams for Life group.

 

Q: IS THERE A MEMBERSHIP FEE?
A: Yes, there is a membership fee. $50/per year for Alumni, $20/per year for students. As you make your way to the website to become full fledged members, we would like to encourage you all to click on the Auto Annual Renewal button. With the growing cuts to school funding this is our way to give back, to ensure Rams of today and tomorrow have the same advantages we had to succeed. Q: WHO IS HELPED BY THE MONEY I RAISE?
A: The current and future students of Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School, their clubs and their teams will benefit from your support. Meeting the needs, over and above the Board’s contribution.

 

Q: HOW WILL THE FUNDS RAISED BE SPENT?
A: All proceeds from the Rams for Life events and fundraising campaigns, including membership fees, will support the needs of all current and future student bodies at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School. Support will be directed to any program or club that requires assistance. See how Rams for Life dollars to work at www.ramsforlife.ca.

Q: IS RAMS FOR LIFE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION A REGISTERED CHARITY? CAN I GET A DONATION RECEIPT? 
A: Rams for Life Alumni Association will be a registered not-for-profit organization and therefore will not be issuing charitable receipts. We do issue a transaction receipt for every item you contribute to, i.e., membership dues, event tickets, etc.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY? 
A: The Rams for Life Alumni Association respects your privacy. We never sell, trade, or lend your information to any other organization. We will use your information only for follow-up contacts (such as sending our newsletter), statistical purposes, and to process and recognize your contributions. We disclose your information only to our own board of directors and agents and only to accomplish the purposes listed above.
